HELP AFrican Knife fish w spots

my african brown knife fish has these brownish black bruises? Idk if its just changing color or somethings wrong. It isnt acting any differently.
Anyone know what it is?

Just keep an eye on it, could have knocked something or is just odd pigmentation. If it expands then it may be something weird.

Ok thanks, and side note this fish was almost black when i bought it, and then once i put them from the 30gal to my 60gal he lost the darkness and now its the similar original color in those spots. He(just call all my fish he) has been venturing into my ABF area maybe the chomped him?

ABF would ignore a knife in my experience. The knife will definitely be light on that colour substrate
