I have been noticing that my albino pleco has been getting thinner, at first I thought it was just my misperception, but my mother now notices it too. Over the past few weeks I can definitely see that my albino pleco is shrinking and the area towards the tail fin is awkwardly thin, now I have also noticed that If i look closely at it's mustache area I can see some weird reddened flesh underneath it's skin. It does eat normally. Therefore does my pleco have some kind of internal parasite that is making it thinner?

And what are the water parameters? (pH, temp, hardness, amonia, etc). Sometimes the water company changes the chemicals they use to treat the water; but then you may see changes in the other fish and not just the pleco.

so I am guessing that my pleco has parasites, though i havent noticed it's excrements, I've been trying to find the white stringy poop that would guarantee it having parasites. Therefore I am already assuming it has parasites due to it's definite shrinking phases. Thus how should I treat the pleco?????:nilly:

the med that I have used in the past is metrodiazonle..it is in Jungle Labs tank buddies parasite meds. it completely cured my royal pleco
