Need advise, about a week ago i noticed my arowana tank's water became cloudy. Might have been overfeeding?
What i did 3 days ago was to clean 1 chamber of my sump which has Fishnet as bio media. I rinsed it in tapwater.
I noticed that my arowana was skittish, lost about 3 scales. when i notice him jumpy i normally suspect bad water, but was thinking it might be motoros frightening him . Today i bought a tester kit. Tester and the ammonia was at 2, what i did was i did an 70% water change, currently filling up tank with water while typing.
btw my tank is a 4x2x2 tank with a 16 inch arowana and 2 8 inch motoros. filtration is a 4 feet overhead filter , and a 4 feet sump tank which is filled with
1st chamber full of scrubbies,
2nd chamber fish net
3rd chamber is ceramicf rings
I usually do water change weekly at 30-40%
any advice? i used ammolock today for the ammonia. also thinking of adding more aeration? ph is lower than 7, i think its at 5, since i lost the chart for my ph tester , but the color is yellow.
