So I'm not sure whether if my Thai Silk is a male or Female, but lately I've have seen the fish digging up the gravel and its behavior is really aggressive towards any other fishes that get near the gravel that he or she dug up. I was wondering if this is a sign of a female Flowerhorn trying to lay eggs or just a male being territorial? here are some pics.

is that a green or jar in the background of the 7th pic? nice dat too. what else you have in this tank?

sorry don't have answer for your question...

It built a nest. Usually what the male will do, But by the behaviour its probably a female. Shes trying to breed, Its natural, Means shes healthy. Or its a male being territorial in which case I would separate from the Dats.

Yes here is what in the tank

x6 Flagtail Prochilodus
x3 Indo Datnoid
x1 Silk Flowerhorn
x1 Jardini Arowana

That's a bad mix, but from what I know with behavior like that. It is most likely that it is a female behavior.
