I baught a pair of Archer fish about two days ago. They looked healthy, attractive and just fine. Not until released in the tank did I notice that there was a slow, lazy / inactive movement from the both of them.
Yesterday morning when I looked at them, one of them had developed white cotton / fungus like layers on its body. Now it is panting upside down at the bottom, the other is ok except that it has an inactive expression still.
I did 80% waterchange and applied aquarium salt, that is in bluish colour for fungus prevention etc as well. It doesn't seem to have worked, I tried to take the fish out but it still has strength, wiggled to escape. What do you think I should do? Leave it until it dies? More importantly, I have a pair of Freshwater Barracuda ( Hujeta ) and a pair of Emperor Snakeheads as tankmates, both are juveniles.
The Snakeheads are scratching against the rock, this disease effects others?
I can't believe this is happening...I hope I don't lose the Cudas and Snakeheads. Any help would be much appreciated, if not thank you for reading.
