just got a 60 gallon acrylic tank for free.. only problem, it has few deep scratches. im thinking of buying "Lifeguard Aquatics Acrylic Scratch Removal kit 72000". any1 ever used it or any better ideas of removing the srathches? i have novus 123, does not work with deep scratches, used it with a buffer too..

thanks in advance..

It depends on how deep the scratches are. If they are light scratches, you can use Novus 1, 2, & 3 to buff them out. If they are deep, you will need to get the acrylic refinishing kit which requires some sanding.

I've researched all the products out there, but the real question becomes
what type of sander to use.
It seems as though the Orbital Sander is most recommended but does anyone know what speed I should get. I've found the Bosch 3727 rated at 12,000 OPM (orbits per minute).
However, it gets confusing when I see the makita 9227cx3 7" rated at 3000OPM but with higher amps (10) to the 3.3 for the Bosch. Anyway, can someone shed some light on this.
