The new Aro I adopted seems to be stressed and has stopped 2 days ago. Now I just noticed some really small white spots on him. The spots are so small you can only see them when you are up close on the tank. At first I thought it was ICK, but I know what ICK looks like but it does seem like it. The other thing I think it might be is fungus. I got lazy and sort of left the food he didn't eat in the tank. I have noticed that the BGK has these spots too. The green terrors do not, nor do the plecos. I up the temp to 84f added salt, melafix. I am thinking about using ICK remover in the morning. What should I do ? I do not want to lose this Aro, its my first one.

ick meds will kill ya black ghost knife ! would half dose hope this helps i lost my first jar to something similar had like a bad cause off ich but i fixed that and just as he was looking 100% he died with his slime coat dropping off

the cloudyness sound like u might overloaded ya bio filtration what are your parameters?

I run 3 emperor 400 in a 125gl tank. Each one has fluval bio media and carbon filter.
Last time I checked ph was around 7 and nitrates at 20ppm and nitrites at less than 1 ppm

If it's ICK you are going to need to increase the temp more. I have raised mine up to 88 F without problems. If it's ICK it'll get worse before it gets better with raising the temperature and adding salt.

The bigger the fish, the more likelihood of success. My aro's had ICK and the above suggestion worked, took 15 days of 88 degrees to get rid of all the ICK and 25% water changes everyother day.

Good Luck
