My 20" silver seems to be a bit slugish his appetite not what it has been. He is eating though. It looks as if he has a bit of ich but its hard to tell on him. I can see small bumps on his head and a bit on his top fin. Then I just noticed it looks like he has some craters on his scales. I'm not sure if thats because maybe he has been scratching or it is some other disease. I Did a 20% water change increased water flow and added Melafix. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you sure your water perameters are ok? (amonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels, etc.)

Other than that, I'd suggest 1 tablespoon aqarium salt per 5 gallons of water, and bump the heat up to around 82 degrees F ....esepecially if you suspect ich. You might want to keep the lights on the tank off to reduce stress as much as possible while it recovers...

...also, do you feed it feeder fish? If so , do you quarentine the feeders for at least a week?

Good luck!

it seems to me that your aro has parasites.i have really good success with mardel/coppersafe.if the aro is getting worse by the time you read this, you should directly pour some of the blue liquid(coppersafe) on the fish.you might also need some antibiotics.tetracycline is really effective in my opinion.

He seems better this morning acting hisself but I will add some coppersafe into the water. I don't use feeders but I did add a new fish in 2 weeks ago.

don't forget that that aro once had hook worm. check and see if there are any visible worms, maybe they were not destroyrd completely last time. it was treated with coppersafe.
