Help Arowana!!!

I got a 2 1/2" arowana at my lfs, when I looked at him in the store he looked a little battered, but I figured it was just because he was in a strong current. When I got home I aclimated him and put him in my 38 g. Yesterday he looked fine except his tailfin was a little ragged from the store. This morning he looked like he had ich, so I added Jungle Ich Treatment tablets. Now he is lying on the bottom and his fins in the middle of his body bottom[I dont know what they're called] have white fuzzy balls on them... Any ideas?!?!?!

I'd take him back to the LPS before he dies, but it sounds like a bad bad situation that he may not recover from. Good luck with him.........

Thanks, I also forgot, the back of his tail is turning white almost like it's rotting or dying!!

do you have a heater??...if you don't i suggest you get one..and use aquarium salt...and try melafix..if you really want to try and help him...for all i know..that's all you can do...raise the temp up to 86..not right away though..you dont want to shock him
