My 5in firemouth is just laying on it's side at the bottom of the tank. He's in a 55g w/ 3in r. jewel, 5in comm pleco, 2.5in red devil, 8 .5 in firemouth fry. He has no battle wounds but is breathing very heavily. any help appreciated.

It could be from lack of oxygen.
 
last water change 3 days ago.....ph is 7.2...nitrate/ammonia are at zero

there is a 12in air stone that goes 24/7
 
new developement....added a power head from my 150g upstairs been runn'n down in the 50g for 15min now my firemouth is floating in the middle of the tank staight up n down face down pic in a sec
 
went down to take pic....now he is floating face up

tell me about it...same thing happened to a buddy of mine's fm n it died LFS had no clue wat was wrong.....was thinkg about putting him in 150g but afraid move might put him over the edge
