No telling but with the lights off they should mellow out a little, your going to have to watch them. You could put tank watre in the ten gallon with an HOB and an air stone and a little aquarium salt to help with osmo reg then you can sleep. Tommorrow when hes back to normal intro him to the main tank
do you think that would be better? luckily i threw the filter pad i use for the filter in the 10 gallon in the ac 110 i use....

It's very possible he'll be attacked because he's vulnerable and the new guy, so he hasn't established his rank in the tank's heirarchy yet. What size tank do you have?

I don't want to be the mean one here, but those are a lot of fish for one tank. You'd need several hundred gallons to make that work. I'm also worried about the fact that you added that fish with zero quarantine, putting all your other fish at risk for disease. Believe me, skipping quarantine doesn't seem like a problem until you have an outbreak of ich or other parasites, then it's an absolute nightmare because you can lose all of your fish quickly. Please think about investing in a quarantine tank in the future.
5 fish doesnt seem like a lot of fish for a 150.... anyways the flowerhorn and loiseelei are getting picked up tomorow.... and i have several smaller tanks its just it doesnt seem fair for a big fish to have to be in a small tank...

yes, keep him in the ten overnight. Better than him getting killed.

You recently posted a thread about fish with ich, which happened when you skipped quarantine. We suggested buying a quarantine tank but you ended up using it for other fish. Now you're back in the same situation as before. Every time you bring in a new fish, you risk infecting your existing stock or having the new fish get harassed or injured while recovering from shipping stress. This is a great example. The fish should have gone into a quarantine tank to recover before being introduced to aggressive tankmates.

he is in a quarintine tank..... and also i never stocked the tank because you told me not to and i also threw in the filter pad in the my ac 110's just like you told me to...

yes he might be in a quarintine tank now but it looks like they had to tell you to put him in there like you said you pulled him out of the shipping bag an put him in the main show tank instead of a quaritine tank which is a epic fail.

ok mom, did you have a corner picked out fot the OP's time out yet? Geeze. :grinno:

Plenty of MFKers don't have quarentine tanks. Is it a good idea to have them? No, it's a great idea. But obviously those who don't, know the risks involved (or most do anyway). I've added a fish straight to a main tank several times and knew better. Took fail number 3 for me start quarentine for EVERY fish ( slow learner you know ;) ) . Let bro make his mistakes and don't jump on his *** when he ask's for advice. But MOST importantly:

xinchavoc, how's the GT today? Did he pull through? Best of luck bro.

I agree with the "let him learn" theory. However, I also know how frusterating it is to give someone advice, to have them ignore it, then have problems as a result ... then ask for advice again. I hope the fish is good. Let us know how it went last night.

I don't think anyone was jumping on his ass. He asked for help ASAP and was told to quarantine. How is that wrong?
