currently i bought 2 RTC..they doin well in my tank..together with him/her is 3CK and 6Tinfoil Barb.they ate lots..even handfeed..THEN, yesterday i saw they spit/vomit some of the food that they eat(guppies)..that was shock, then they ate the other fresh guppies..AND today,i woke up and saw the body are covered by some white spot..i have no idea what was that, and seen irritate to me..all white spot are all over both RTC's..is it desease or some kind of??other tankmates are fine..only that 2 dude.:screwy:...

Likely it's ich.

Suggested treatment is

Temperature=82-86 degrees I perfer 86
Add aquarium salt

And wait :) During this treatment they will get much worse in appearance before getting better. Keep the temp up until well after the spots disapear.

add aquarium salt..tank about 2.5 ft x 1.5 ft..how many table spoon??what if we not using temp method..

I believe 82 degrees is unlivable for ich.. Without heat you will most likely be treating for weeks possibly longer.

I don't measure anymore :( So i forgot the amount in table spoons. But it is in the thread and also on the back of the salt package :)

well, i live in tropical area, so we're not using heater temp..now, i just got the aquarium salt..we need to scatter it all around or just placed the salt where the dude hideout??do we need cycle the water by switch on pump??

you should mix the salt into some hot water until its totally disolved...allow it to cool and then slowly pour it into the tank. This is a SINGLE treatment...do not add any additional salt.

You need a heater no matter where you live because the outside temp is far different than the inside temp.. Raise temp to 82-84 and add 1 teaspoon of salt per gallon. Do 50% water changes every 3 days and add salt as neccesary. Its because of no heater that this happened, regardless of where you live.
