i have been getting a lot of fighting going on in my 7 asian aro com so bad that 3 of the aros were picking on 1 aro and he had no were to run/hide so he just parked him sell on the bottom as soon as he lifted from the bottom he would get chased and beat up again

i knew i was having to much luck with this com :(

one thing i have found is when i turn off all the lights and just turn on the blue light its all carm and they shoal about very happy with no aggression at all no chaseing biteing nothing

i have decided to just leave the blue light on for 1 month to give the beat up aro time to recover hes not beat up bad just a split tail but hes not happy parked on the bottom

my main consern is buy leaving the lights off for so loong it my cause problems even drop eye

all help welcome for a asian com newbie :D

This is just speculation(sorry no exp. with asian comm.) with fish communities there most always is some sort of pecking order and this would have to be allowed. The blue light may calm this now, but the aggrssiveness may again rise even eith just the blur light on. You may want to try leaving the regular light on for just one hour a day, allowing this short time for aggression may keep the peace throughout the blue light period.

thats what i was thinking just on the lights a feeding time

How big is the tank? This is what I did for my 5 silver and 2 blacks I had before...
They were in a 150 and they were always fighting. I read somewhere that people in asia with asian aro comm. divide the tank and crowd the aros into a small section of the tank. With cramped living space, fighting and aggresion slowly dissipates. As the aros atart to get along you give them more room until you can take out the divider and they can roam the whole tank.

This worked for me.

Keep in mind this not a overnight deal. It took me about 6 months to accomplish this.

i was thinking that was the problem to much space

i already added a banjar red to try to make up the numbers that didnt work the red just sits back a watches the fights

all aros are 12inch and in a 84inch long x 32inch wide x 30inch deep

their was no fights until 2 weeks ago and its been non stop since then

im going to try just the blue light for a few weeks then if that fails i will try the divider trick how small should i make the tank half it ?

so far so good the blue light seams to have carmed things down :D

yeah any pictures?
