I hatched a White Banded Bamboo shark and it hasnt eaten in about 4 days i heard it should start eating after a week, water parameters are fine and he only lives with a small radiata lionfish who minds his own i feed the Lionfish live shrimp, enriched brinshrimp and squid but the shark has shown no interest he just seems to want to hide in the rocks.

Length of time they wait is related to how much yolk sac it absorbed right before hatching. As long as it's not thin, you're still ok.

Im in uk so just off to work but ill post some when i get back he is pretty fat.

Ive also noticed he chases my lion when it invades his rock is this just a territory thing and will it stop once the shark starts coming out.

Im assuming they dont come out from the rocks till they absorb all the mucas as theres no point right?

He is living in a 4x24"x26" deep and ive just purchased the wood for his new home im building im looking at 8x4x3 since hes going to be the only shark but if i get on ok with him im planning to build a small lagoon 10k gallons for him and hopefully a small horn shark.

try feeding him live feeder shrimp.

i believe i stated that i tried to feed him live shrimp?

Last night he was moving really close to the edge of his cave i made him its about 15"x24" and he was poking his head out and moving out occasionally but its today been a week since he hatched and ive not seen him eat yet.

Is now maybe the time he should start eating?
