My girlfriends father called to ask me my opinion on an ailing fish. I wrote down as many details as I could to assist in diagnosing this problem.
55 Gallon Tank (Gold/Blue/Platinum Gouramis, Serpae Tetras, neons, and a pleco)
Magnum 350 and Whisper 60 filtration
Standard 25% water changes done regularly
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate all well within tolerable ranges
Here's the problem...he recently had an ich break-out that was cleared using Rid Ich for the directed time. All of the fish are fine now except for one gourami that he said is "bent". Apparently the fish has some swelling on one side of the body, a laceration on the head, and is literally bent on the side opposite of the swelling. The fish is eating regularly and showing no signs of distress...other than being, in his own words, "bent into an 'L'"...
Any ideas?
