I got this nice 5" spilo piranha (its in a basket in the 120G tank) temperaory (until his tank is finsh cycling), and it decided to explore my 120G tank at night, and it jumped out of the basket (holding area) and it took a big bite out of my ID shark.. :irked:

Here is the question, my ID shark is still active and its alive and still swim around the tank, but half of the tail and 1/4 of body is gone (flesh showing), what should I do??? Kill it? or let it heal? any suggestion?

give it a chance, melefix to reduce the chance of infection, maybe add a little salt and cross your fingers. ive have convicts, blue acaras and other ps live with chunks missing. if it gets infected and it get bad enough that it effects him swimming, put him out.

give it some time....africans do that all the time...TO EACH OTHER!

yea give it some time I agree with them :( good luck though I feel for you its happend to me few times but not from piranah
