I was thinking of ordering some baby quarter size black piranha from aquabid. I don't know much about them and was wondering if I could raise 3 babys together then find the others new home later. I'm afraid if I buy only one it might not make it during shipping or from stress. I'm also afraid if I have 3 together they might bite each other like red bellies. What should I do or whats the best idea?

black piranha needs to be kept solo, unless you have a tank large enough.
at young you can try to have them in a large tank with A LOT OF hiding spots, drift woods plants, etc they might be ok up to certain size but no one knows how long.
order from Aquascape or Shark Aquarium or Aquatic Sanctuary, they have live delivery guarantee.

you could always split your tank up with 3 dividers, see wich rhom you like best then sell the other two. its best to keep them apart

When i got my black it wasnt planned. So i called my friends sisters cause i knew she wanted my african cichlids. I had a tank of about 5 africans, a catfish, and a rhino pleco. She said she would come get them tommorrow, I figured one night would be ok. The rhom was under 2 inches, the cichlids were all around 5 inches. I was actually worried about the rhom. soon as i put him in he went and hid. Turned out the lights and went out for the evening, I came home around midnite, 2 cichlids dead, other three missing tail fins. The next morning the other three were dead. The catfish was about a 8 inch channel cat. and the rhino pleco was like 4 inches. he left them alone for a very long time. 4 or 5 months later i came home one day and the channel cat was ate up, tailfins gone. He left the pleco alone for over a year then one morning i woke up and the pleco eyes were gone and it was eaten out from underneath. anyhow point of the story is even tiny they are brutal.
