help! bloated tiger salamander

ive had him for 4yrs, hes like 10 in he lives with another ive had for 2, about the same size, ive done nothing differently, and the other tiger is completely fine

only his body is extremely fat, not even his neck, idk when this happened

i havent feed them in a few days, but i give them can o grasshoppers every week, one each

whats happening to my baby?! D:
 
possibly injesting substrate?
doesnt sound like obesity. they usually are fat all around.
gravid? i know nothing of breeding these guys.

Could be normal, Ive seen salamanders get a condition like that and then get normal again. Make shure your enclosure is clean, the water is clean and that you use an anticlorine each time you change water. Try to find people with tiger sals.
 
hm........ ill clean the tank for a start, see if that does anything
 
oh um, as well, his eyes arent clearly open, and he can barely move his back legs D:
 
Post on caudataculture instead. Google the term and you'll find the website. I don't know what it is, but I think they would be able to help you much better. The sally doesn't sound like its in a good state now. Did you happen to feed any lubber grasshoppers...?

w/e species can o grasshoppers are, is what if fed it, and like i said, teh other is completely fine

i was wrong about the eyes tho, the only problem is the fat body
