About 3 hours ago my bn pleco which I got ~3 days ago from concepts jumped into my filter??!! I found him there happily eating some slime coat that was there. He did NOT wanna move. Lol. So I got him down back into the tank and he's mad. Btw my intake is WAY too small to get sucked in. He's 3" so no way.... and its a 10gal quarantine. I didnt think it was possible for BRISTLENOSE plecos to jump then again my cuckoo catfish have jumped and still do. My jack dempsies & parrot fish jump aswell. Is this weird? I have a hood on them all. The bn just happened to jump Into the filter in the exact spot there's no cover.

Lol lucky man! Id come up with a cover solution and that will help w/ dust and debris!

My ac110 didnt come w/ 1 so i ordered one online, maybe a temp solution is creativity, try plastic cd covers or a piece of glass from a picture frame u dont use??! Even a piece of plastic food wrap will suffice!

No see you misunderstand, I have a cover, but its got an area precut on the side for the filter. Its a standard 10-gal.
