After doing a lot of searching i found out my newt is a HongKong warty newt and i want to build him a vivarium with live plants. I got a book about terrariums but it doesn't talk much about how to build one for a newt. Has anyone built one with success?

I had a salamander in a 20 long. I put a large rock on one side, lots of sand near the rock, and some plants. It did fairly well for a few years.

Google search paludariums. It should give you some ideas.

I'm having a hard time finding habitat info for the hong kong warty newt. have spent a couple days searching around on the internet but no real luck. found lots of neat set ups for other types of newts, but wonder if the same set up will work for the guy i have.

I'm wanting to do a land/water set up in a 15 gallon tank. right now he's only in a 5 gallon with some rocks for climbing and hiding, and a couple live plants.
I can't get pic's of him, no camera. I have looked at the pic's and i believe i have a hong kong warty newt.
