ok well i am new to this site so hello everyone. i have had a few large fish in the past ( tsnx and spotted gars and redtails and arrowanas) and now im tire of having to get rid of them when they get too big. right now i have a 60 gal corner tank with a small 6in florida gar and a 3in red tail. they will be out growing this soon and i want to build a tank big eonough to house them for a whil at least. i was looking at somethin in the area of 2'' high 3'' front to back and 6'' long. does that sound about right ?
i want to make it out of acrylic. all acrylic. can someone help me with filtration, bracing, and what kind of stand i need to build to hold this thing up ? i want the filtration to be inside bc i am planning on putting three large cages under it built into the stand. this is my first build like this so any feedback or opinions is much appreciated. thanks

Building acrylic tanks can be tricky. You really have to know what you are doing. Have you done anything like it before?

no i havent built a tank before. i used to work for a sign company and we built alot of stuff and i have always been good at building pretty much anythin. i think i am goin to get some scrap to practice before i dive in head first. thats why im asking all these questions now. i prob wont start building till about next jan or feb.

dang. he did a nice job. i hope mine turns out that good. can anyone tell me what size filter i need and wht is the best setup and all that ?
that is my main concern bc i have never delt with building my own filter or anythin i just have fluvals
