Help Bulkhead and pump HELP

OK so i have a 150 gallon pond with a one inch inner diameter bulkhead. This is going into a wetdry. The pump is a mag drive 7 which has no power adjuster so it is empting the water to fast for the bulkhead to keep up. PLESE HELP

1) put a ball valve on the output of the pump.
2) Get a smaller pump
3) increase the size of the bulkheads.

I personly think that the vaulve will probabley be the easiet right now sence it is filled

I would look into either adding another 1" bulkhead or upgrading the bulkhead to 1.5-2". But definitely add the valve on the output.

Is the bulkhead on the side or bottom of the pond.

side...but as you see this is full. its not alot different so i think the vaulve might work

If you plan it all out, you should be able to get a second bulkhead drilled and plumbed with some flex hose in 20-30 minutes.

You should actually do both. The valve in the short run with a plan for increasing drain flow in the long run.

A smaller pump was just another option.
