my has a black con that ive thrown into the pond for the summer. it's around 3". she's wanting a red devil. i got three at work and all are 3". 2 questions:

1...could i get away with keeping them together in a 29 for the winter?

2...could i throw them out into the 300g pond together.

im more worried waht im going to do with the devil next winter when i have to bring him in. im sure i'll be alright with them in the pond. just dont know what to do when the summers over.

mmm 29 is too small to put much inside. putting them in the pond seems like a better option, although i dont know how cold it gets in the winters there...

yup. That would not be good to keep those together in a 29.

You can heat the pond as suggested, shouldn't take too much if you build a green house contraption over it for the winter months. What's the footprint of the pond?

yes as stated heat the pond. for the worst winter months, you can build a greenhouse. construct a frame to fit over it like a roof and staple some 6mm or thicker plastic over it. (the kind used to make temporary greenhouses). the greenhouse effect will keep heat in and heating costs down. it's very easy and works great. have fun a keep us updated

Yeah, it's small enough to erect a green house over it.

Then do it. Try and not to let the temp drop below 67. Although higher is better. You dont want the con catching ich.
