I noticed today that the end of my dwarf Caimans tail looked cut and when inspected it I noticed a deep gash and it appears as if the tail is broke. Will this heal on its own? I bandaged it up to keep the parts together along the gash, anything else I can do here?

Its alone, just it. I am thinking he probably broke it either in transit here or right after when I was putting him in his cage because he went wild tail whipping and smack it on a rock a few times, all of this was about two weeks ago. Since then, I have left him alone till now so he could calm down and I wasn't stressing him out, so this was the first time I actually gave him a good in-depth inspection.

Not relating to the question but what turtle is it in your profile pic??

Alligator Snapper

Tried that, only one here will not look at it because he knows nothing about Crocs, he basically told be to keep its tail immobile and hope it heals LOL

And they didn't offer to give it any injections of antibiotics or additional medication to add with it's food? I don't know how you're suppose to keep a crocodilian from using it's tail, lol!

Popsicle sticks and duct tape LOL
