Help Cali Out We Need It!

Hello,

I need your guys’ help;I am going to send a letter to the California state fish and game to help make freshwater stingrays legal for aquarium uses. I need your help. I was thinking since Cali can get some cold harsh winters here, so there would be no way they could survive that. Then why would people spend 300 dollars on a fish that they are going to throw in a river or lake. And if we have them in our aquariums then we can learn about them for educational purposes. Also, even if they do become legal but you must have a permit to have one, charge for the permit. Say 100,000 people buy permits for the stingrays at $10 a piece then that would be an easy 1,000,000 dollars they can make from just letting us have them in our ponds or aquariums. So please send me some ideas on why freshwater rays should be legal in Cali. Thanks

California's animal bans are not based off of reason. I plan to move to another state some day, the laws and restrictions here are ridiculous.

Even if our pets were released, survived the cold winters, and reproduced enough to start a population, it has no effect compared to things like pollution, irrigation, and habitat loss. But nobody seems to care about those, as long as they're safe from "killer piranhas and snakeheads".
