Help catching wild Neo's

So I am from the mainland but now live in Hawaii where it is illegal to have any freshwater shrimp imported. I have a red cherry tank back home and have an empty 10g planted out here. Luckily the streams here are full of wild neocaridina heteropoda. Does anyone know the best way to catch these little guys? Any help would be much appreciated.
