Help computer virus!

Hi my main computer seens to have picked up a virus (im using my laptop) which my dad looked into which can take your bank details or somthing like that but at the same time were getting these winspywear things popping up saying that the one where using can assess threats but not remove them and we need tp purchase a license. Can anybody help!

Re-boot in safe mode by pressing f-7 during startup....Go to www.download.com and get avg....Run a boot scan ,and then a slow full system scan, and you will be fine bud....Sounds like your anti virus expired or needs upgrading.

The winsoywear is part of the virsus we took it to our local computer shop for repair we are the 30th customers this month with this problem, its an american virus that you can get from some internet sites just by clicking on them, then i makes a virus threat keep popping up and a programme pops up saying how to get rid of it but you have to enter your payment details and then they get your bank account etc

Tongue - Are you telling me that viruses are now being produced for MACs? If so could you post up a link. I am not aware of any virus protection needed for MACs.
