so I currently have 2 biggish tanks 1x125gal and 1x268gal.
the 125gal (75"x18"x24")
1x2000L/H powerhaed with sponge filter
1x1500L/H powerhead with sponge filter
1x1000L/H wet/dry filter with pre-sponges(the kind that goes above the tank)
2x 450W heaters
There is an UGF which i just need to attach a powerhead to.
The subtrate is small stones(or very course ravel) with river rocks.

the 268Gal (83"x24"x31")
1xResun 18000l/H external pump on a 25gal sump
11kg (or 25pounds)of ceramic biorings(submerged in sump)
10kg (or 22pounds) river stones(submerged in sump)
3x450W heaters
converting my overflow to a wet/dry trickle with about 200 black plastic bioballs
the background is fake rock styrofoam
no substrate yet.

so here i go with the help part. i have two stocking ideas.

NUMBER 2

125gal:

any comments or suggestions, constructive or opinionated are more than welcome. anything you say say can't and won't be held against you. which option sounds better. or what can i change.

thanks in advance

I think you'll Like the 2nd one where you are keeping the same continent fish in the same tank ... But Mixing can be nice tooo :) So i would have to say plans #2 :D

you have some big fish. maybe sell an oscar or two? missing a few of those hogs should free up some space.

i am more partial to that one but won't there be any aggression problems??? i am just wondering with the JD,jag, and GT.

You just might have enough room for them to actually make it throughout your 268... But you never know... My Breeding jacks full grown killed a 18" Clown knife .... In a 160... And then took out a red ear slider the next week as the guy that owned the tank thought it would do ok do to the shell..... OOOooops.. So they are in a 55 by them selves.. But an electric blue wont get as big as a regular jack= theory... But that would be the one i would worry about getting beat up.. As the jags are bad mama jammas and the Oscars tend to get more aggressive as they age in my experience... But with all the fish you are putting in there i believe you stand a good chance of anyone fish getting too beat up as there are going to be plenty of distractions across the tank :)

Now Texas and Cons could be a prob... Even in that size.. I have a texas and 2 breeding cons in my 150 and they are always at it! None get beat up as the Oscar or the Mayan always get into the mix sayin HEY We are the boss... And the female con doesn't stray to far out in the open do to the Gar :)
