HELP..DIY CANISTER FILTER

K i have a general ideal of how to build one but the only thing i am confuse on is the pump..anyone know what kind of pump i should use? it's going to be for a 55 gallon if all go good i am going to make one for a 90 gallon too..

so can anyone tell what kind pump to use maybe show me a picture of brand and where to buy it (Michigan)

My first recommendation is look for a good deal on a factory made canister.
No hassles involved and a very good chance it will work flawlessly right out of the box.
That out of the way, there are quite a few postings on various styles of DIY cans that show what can and cannot be done.
If it were me I would look for a pump capable of 500gph at the tanks return level.
A little less or more wouldn`t hurt anything.
