HELP! Dorsal fin split - Yellowtail Barracuda

I noticed my Yellowtail Cuda got a bit roughed up tonight and his dorsal fin is split right down the middle, almost all the way to the base. I believe my needlenose Gar is the bully in there, so he'll soon be gone if I catch him in the act. Anyways, will this injury heal? What do you suggest I do, aquarium salt? The other fish in the tank are 3 clown loaches, one needlenose gar, 2 cory cats, and a giant pleco. Any info would be MUCH appreciated!
