I picked up my 10' 375 gallon tank (used) tuesday and I want to drill for bulkheads today so I need a little experienced help as to how far away from the ends and the top and how far apart the holes need to be as I plan on using 2- 2" for suction and four 1 1/2" for returns so you proffesional help will be a help

What are your end measurement (where you are going to drill)? How thick is the acrylic?

I'd keep them as far away from an edge as possilble... but that is just me. IF it's thick enough, you could leave about double the length of your pipe size away from an edge.

acrylic is 3/4". the suction bulkheads on each end I had planed to be 1' off the ends and 6" down from the top and then space the 4 returns evenly accross the back between the suction bulkheads

any truth to useing water as a coolant while I am drilling, my tank is in the garage so no worry about a little water on the floor
