Need help asap if possible. Got the new(for me) eheim 2026 in today and just now got to where I could set it up. Got the hoses cut to length, all the seals in place, etc. There are no leaks or anything of that sort. My problem is getting this thing to prime all the way. The in take is keeping air trapped in it. If I go away the intake slowly, and I mean crazy slowly, starts filling up with water. It doesn't seem to do any good though.

Please someone say I'm not crazy and they know what my issue is with getting this thing to prime? it looks entirely B.A. but I'm getting frustrated with the priming issues(which were supposed to be super easy?)

Have you filled the can with some water?

Even if the filters have priming options I tend to fill it up anyways.

Figured out what it was! the dang cap/top on the top of the intake was not tightened all the way as it was supposed to have been. Was letting in tons of air. Fixed now though so good to go there. Doing good now - output on this bad boy is insane. All my frogbit is flying to the other side of the tank and ending up under my emp 400. I'm stoked :0

I have the same Pump The Darn thing drives me crazy when I have to prime it, But when it runs it works great. Sometimes I move the hose to get water to siphon in the pump but other times I try to start it to see if it will prime bye itself overall time take about 5 to 10 min:nilly::nilly: That is why I just pick up NEW FX5 try something new Eheimes are great but if I had the choice I would sale this one and buy the 2078 which I have and work AWESOME:headbang2:headbang2
