My first day as a member here, and my first post:
1) Just setup my new Eheim 2078 and I am loving it which really is not important, I know my fish love it more. they seem to be more calm and playful. The set up is pretty simple. I have a deep tank (120G freshwater with plants/fish) so I upgraded the intake to installation kit with extensions. However, I can get the 12 hr bio feature to work. I believe I correctly followed the instructions but the flow does not change after 12 hours. My lights come on at 8:00 am and shut down at 9:00pm, on timer.
At about 9 o'clock in the morning, I set the flow to "Max" (this is the 2nd cycle, starting at 9:00 p.m..). BTW, MY CO2 is also on timer with the light, so when the light goes out, so does co2 injection. I know most of users set night time cycle at "min", so the fish can sleep. back to the setup,right after I finish set up the flo at "Max", i pressed "S" for 2 secs, and push both + and -, to start "stream" mode. After this, the flo is running in "stream" mode. When I come back to check it at around 10 p.m., the flo is still running in "stream" mode, not change to "max" like it supposed to.
2) Also, I will be moving the Eheim 2234 from the other tank to hookup AM1000 Co2 reactor, turbo 9W UV, surface extractor so I can get rid of the surface skum, and the clutter.
I know this is a lengthy post, please accept my apology, if it causes any confusion. Any comments and help to solve my problems with Egheim 2078 12 hrs bio feature with be greatly appreciated.
