HELP electric eel injured

Electric eel has a wound on his back that is about .5 inches long... Looks like he was burned by the aquarium heater, as far as i can tell.

What steps should i take to best heal this and keep him in good health?

I would just keep the heater shielded using a PVC pipe, he will heal eventually. Just keep an eye open for infection.

Make sure to cover the heater and if the burn gets infected use malachite green. Other than that i would not be worried as they are a very hardy fish.
