ok just moved everything into my new 100g tank, and all of the sudden there is definately electricity in my water. all the heaters are brand new and not malfunctioning... the powerhead is new and seems fine... my wet/dry has been running problem free for years now. my magnum 350 has been going nonstop for years aswell. and i have a ground cable plugged in properly.

WHAT CAN BE CAUSING ALL 100 GALLONS TO BE ELECTRIFIED!?!? I unplugged each part individually and it did not go away. when i put my finger in it feels light, but i know there is electricity in the tank. all the fish seem fine, but my questions are what could be causing this? how bad is it for my fish? they have been in this for a few days now and i feel bad, but it doesnt seem to affect them. someone please help the stand got wet when filling it, but it is a 2x4 stand and all plugs are dry

You should get a probe and test the water for the electrical output and experiment with unplugging each, cause maybe its a combination of a couple things. This is the best way I can think of. Good luck. None of your fish showing any signs of paralysis?

How do you know the water has electricity in it?

I think he may have touched it, you'll get a weird tingling sensation in your fingers if somethings conducting the water, had happen to me once.

I would unplug everything and see if its still the same. IF not,Then one at a time plug them in until you know.

Great suggestion, but he should probably get a probe first.

ok i unplugged everything that uses electricity, starting with the end where i felt the most... nothing came up.

after some serious head scratching, I unplugged the ground wire and BAM no more tingly fingers... BTW it was getting so bad, i couldnt even keep my hands in the water for long and it was worst at the farthest corner of the tank. thanks for all the help!
