Alright, so I have an arowana in one of my tanks, along with several decorations. I have slowly removed the larger decorations as the fish are getting bigger, but left in two rough rocks. I think that during last night, he scraped hard against them, and thus lost many scales on his back and left flesh exposed. I did a large water change and added melafix. now he seems to have a white fuzzy growth on his back where the flesh was cut. Seems like fungus, which I have never had much luck in treating. WHAT DO I DO?!?!:cry::cry:

c'mon guys, if this thread dies, so does my arow :(

You could add Pimafix with the Melafix.... I have had success healing wounds and dealing with fungus with those products. You could also do the old temp bump and salt. You got a hospital tank?

Pictures would be good.

You'll probably be fine though....keep a close eye on him.

Does the start of it look like this by chance-
(certainly hope not though)

I thought raising the temperature was bad in fungal infections. It looks cottony, so I assumed columnaris. I've got a hospital tank for him, and no, it doesn't look like velvet (the disease, right?)
