i HAVE 6 KRIBESIS IN A TANK AND 1 PLECO I GOT THE PLECO TODAY BECAUSE THERE IS SOME KIND OF ALGAE IN THE TANK AND ONE OF MY KRIBS THE MOST BRIGHT AND COLORFUL ONE IS PALE AND JUST HIDES NOW IS THERE ANY TREATMENT FOR WHAT HE HAS ... PLEASE REPLIE BEFORE HE DIES!:nilly:

Did he just start hiding? Might be scared by the new plec...

chances are if your water is supporting algae, there is some imbalance. that would be what's affecting your krib. and getting a plec just to eat algae is a bad idea. just remove the algae yourself. don't be lazy.

is there any kind of dropplet or something that can get rid of the algae ever time i clean it out it comes right back ... please replie fast all of a sudden his eyes are like popping out of his head and he seems very sick!!!

Excess nurients such as phosphate and iron can easily cause an algael bloon. Having your tank in a location that recieves sunlight will grow algae too. Buying a fish to solve the rpoblem is not the best route. Eliminate the source of the algae first. As for your krib, post a picture. Perhaps your plec introduced a parasite/disease if you didnt quarentine him.

What is your water change schedule? Do a WC right now, of 25%. How big is the tank? Plecos grow to 18".

I would quarantine the krib and medicate, for starters. As for the algae, DON'T treat it with chemicals. They will kill off your BB along with the algae. If your tank is in direct sunlight, buy a uv sterilizer. They work wonders on free floating algae. Algae on the surfaces needs to be cleaned by hand.

LOL. I wish Zebra plecs grew to 18".
There are hundreds of loricariid species so by saying that plecs grow to 18" could give someone the impression that thier adonis will only grow 18" or they might complain why thier bristlenose has stopped growing at 5".
