i was told you take like your tanks gallons and divided it by the filter out put and that tells you how many times ur tank is filtered. help. also what is the best number to have for filtering by hr?

it really depends on the kind of fish you keep, but i like my tanks at 10x turnover

okay so i took my tank gallon size 180 and divided it by 1240 which is the gallon rate for the two filters and i got 6.88
If your doing your weekly water changes and all water paramaters are fine. Ammonia,nitrates,and nitrites ecspecially. Then your tank is doing fine.
