Can anyone help me find a tank over 200 gallons, the tank is for red ear slider turtles so I want it long but not very high, am having a hard time finding anything close to what I want. Any help would be great

120 Gallon:
2 frontosa
2 syndontis multipunctatus
2 bala sharks
1 red tail black shark
2 green severum
1 gold severum
1 red jewel
1 yellow lab
1 red parrot

45 gallon angel tank

30 gallon tetra tank

I think when it comes to housing turtles, your best bet is to get a tub or stock tank of some sort. Check out tractor supply company. They have stock tanks that will fit the bill. And they will cost about a quater of an aquarium usually. Here is their site. http://www.mytscstore.com/default.asp

Thanks for the help, kind of figured id have to go that route, was just hoping to find a tank where it was better to view them

A while ago they had an acrylic 300 gallon that would be awesome for turtles. it was only like 150 bucks too.
It may be gone by now.

Personally, I would go with the stock tank. And I'd go with a dark one if possible. I had my 2 RESs in my 100 for a couple of years and they never learned that there was an "invisible" wall there and they would always bang into the sides when they got scared. The dark solid walls of a stock tank are more natural and visible and they tend to swim along them rather than into them.

We have them in a preformed pond outside now and I actually prefer to watch them that way. They certainly act more natural. The other option would be to build an above ground pond and add one glass or acrylic window...

I think iam going to go with a stock tank, I have a 2000 gallon pond I put them in the summer time, but in Wisconsin its too cold for them in the winter, they would end up hibernating out there so I just bring them in for the winter. What kind of filter system did u use when u had them in the stock tank?
