Treating my display tank for a case of Fin rot with Maracyn-TC. The nitrates are fine, ammonia is about .25, but doing a bit more water changes prior to dosing. The other fish seem to be doing fine, not breathing hard. But my two fire eels are breathing real hard? Should they not be in the tank when treating for Fin Rot? I know they are scaleless, but no warnings that Maracyn-TC cannot be used with scaleless fish? Please help. I can move them to a small tank, but that may stress them out more.

I'm only on day two of treatment!

leave them in the tank they are in, add a bit of salt exactly 1 table spoon per gallon of water and increase oxygen supply. i know eels are scaleless but the salt will not effect them i have a fire eel that i have treated with this dosage, you'll be fine:headbang2

Yeah, you can leave them in the same tank. I've treated my tank with salt before (make sure it's aquarium, not marine salt). I'd be a little worried about the Maracyn-TC though, I'd still consider moving them if they are looking real bad. Also, add an extra airstone so that they have more than average airation if they are breathing heavy.
