Help!! First time sand user..

don't use play sand. Use pool filter sand. 150 lb might be too little, I used 200 lb

Not where I am. I pay 8.99 for 50 lbs. Play sand is cheaper, but it gets dirtier easier, and since it is lighter, it can get swirled up in your tank and get into your filter intake. This can totally burn out the impeller. Plus, pool filter sand looks a lot better IMO

guys. LOL

My tank has a 6' x 18" footprint and I used 100 lbs of pfs, and it's plenty. It's maybe an inch deep on average (total guesstimate there). 180 is 6x2 so you'd want the 3rd 50lb bag at least, I really only wanted enough to cover the bottom.
