Came home from work today and found that my Texas had dug under the divider and must have been beating up on the Salvini all day. Found the Salvini on the Texas side of the tank and all beat up. Neted the Salvini back to his side of the tank and reinforced the divider. The Salvini is on the bottom upright and breathing heavy. He is still but keeping upright and not leaning. Colors are way off on the Salvini. Hope he will be ok.
What should I do? Meds or he will heal on his on.I dont have an extra tank to put him in right now.

Turn up the temp a few degrees and add some aquarium salt.

Melafix will help in addition to salt as already mentioned.Be sure You have good water movement at the surface though as the melafix(and any meds) can decrease oxygen levels

Clean water is the best treatment. That melafix can effect the o2 levels in the water and cause more stress IMO it's junk No offence if you like it.

Clean water is always the best way to keep a fish healthy and from getting infections. A little bit of salt would be ok. I would try and make it so that the fish can not see eachother. Put up some decor or plants to help. It might sound funny but just the sight of the other mean fish could cause unwanted stress on your hurt fish.

Good luck hope he makes it. They are strong fish.

Aww sorry to hear that. You did what you could.

Tough break, man. Sorry about your Sal. Texas cichlids can be pretty nasty. If you add anymore cichlids make sure they are equal in size and aggression. The Tex may leave those kind of cichlids alone.
