Help, fish skin problem

Hey,

i noticed that my gourami has a red spot and looks as if it has had its scales
scrapped off or rubed up on something?

any ideas on wat it is and how to fix it ??

scales falling off is a bateria infection, treat with tertacycline

Any decent LPS will have this in stock. I would assume the tank is infected

If it's a Dwarf Gourami look up "dwarf gourami disease". If it's one of the normal sized Gouramis I've had that problem with several that I suspect was lymph.....? (can't ever remember how to spell it but it's basically like a wart virus that heals on its own. Anyone know how to spell it?
