i was not sure were to post this but thought more people would see it here.
i have a 15 gallon, 2 filters wisper 30 and ac 50 on the back. tank i set up about 4-5 weeks ago and have had 3 black tetras in it to cycle it. they tend to hide a lot and i have a few decorations and live plants so i dont see them in the open much. i got some guppies from a guy little over a week ago they all looked fine. so i added them to the tank. the ammonia spiked a little to .25 and same with the nitrites. it went back down yesterday so i bought 2 kribs for breeding. i started to slow add water to them when i noticed the one tetra in the back had a back dot on him then i saw the other fish. his hole belly is black and looks like rot "i think".

i moved all 3 to another hospital tank. i took the guppys out 3 days before and put them in my main tank
i added some salt to the tank and the temp is at 80

i am just worried about adding my new fish ? i dont have any were else to put them. any thing i can do to make sure the tank is ok? and or safe to add the fish?
could cycling have hurt my tetras? should i add the kribs and then just buy meds for the tanks just to be safe?
i stopped adding water to there bag but right now there just floating in the tank.

I really have no idea but you can't keep the fish in bags forever so I thought id give you a free bump.

I think you will be fine. Just watch them all closely. And when cycling it stress out the fish. Which most of the time leads to ich which is still pretty rare imo when cycling. Again I think you'll be fine just keeping the tank at about 86 f.
