I woke this morning to my 36g a couple gallons short. after investigating I figured it is probably the gasket. Two LFS later and a new gasket--------still leaking. anyone know of fluval problems?
i know that my eheim leaks, so i fixed by putting a lil stack of like 4 pieces of paper under the clap untill my new gasket gets here, but you could try shimming your clamp to make it tighter...
........for now
It feels so good that there is a healthy place for for us to vent or run to for support. I find myself doing searches on previous threads for help.
Again MFK saves the day!
BTW: ended up with a blue Ahli today from the LSF during my trek for o-rings.
a year ago my brand new fluval 405 leaked from the bottom of the canister. a couple of phone calls and they sent me a new canister.
I would purchase another 305 and use it to determine where the defect is.
If it is the canister base and not the motor housing just by the part.
