Hi guys, so after months of thinking and consideration of different factors. I've decided to set my goal and save up for a fishing farm. A farm where in I can grow monsters and catch them on rod and reel. The project will start after 2 or 3 years from now. So I'm starting to try and gather information and stuffs.
Feel free to add more names that you think would be a great addition for the lake. Take note that the farm will be in the Philippines, it's a tropical region so sturgeons, taiman, etc won't be a good suggestions.
Fish in red colors are that of i can get hold of easily.
Monster's Lake:
Pirarucu = Arapaima gigas
Wels catfish = Silurus glanis
Redtail cafish = Phractocephalus hemioliopterus
Asian Redtail catfish = Hemibagrus wyckioides
Tiger Shovelnose catfish = Phseudoplatystoma Faciatium
Redtail Shovelnose catfish
Paroon Shark = Pangasius sanitwongsei
Mekong Giant catfish = Pangasianodon gigas
Nile Perch = Lates niloticus
Vundu catfish = Heterobranchus longifilis
Alligator Gar = Atractosteus spatula
Blue Catfish = Ictalurus furcatus
Goonch Catfish = Bagarius yarrelli (seen this once in the PH but I'm not sure if its a bagarius or a yarrelli)
Piraiba = Brachyplatystoma filamentosum
African Goliath tiger fish = Hydrocynus goliath (seen this fish 2x only in the PH)
Golden Mahseer
Smaller Lake:
LargeMouth bass = Micropterus salmoides
Peacock bass = Cichla temensis or cichla ocellaris or cichla orinocensis
Silver Arowana = Osteoglossum bicirrhosum
If you guys:
Have suggestions on irrigation system
A person that can or know someone that can export any of the fish in the list to the Philippines
Have any suggestion in general that is related to the plan
Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
