not sure if this is the right place to post this. though i'm just wondring what would you guys think is the best dimensions for a 200, 250 and a 300 gallon tank? in inches preferably. and uh.. thickness.:) i'm planning to custom make mine from a local aquarium shop. i trust u guys more over them:) haha!

it's a glass tank sealed with sealant:) the way tanks are usually made in markets... though custom made this time:)

in iches please:) and uh include the thickness of the glasS:)

It really depends on what you are gonna put in it but I think I like the standard 96x30x24H 300 gal. It lets you use 1/2 inch glass pretty safely so is not as pricey as a taller tank. Though I'd probably make it at least 32 inches wide which would make it more like a 319. If you wanna put SA arowana and rtc in it go bigger. :D

i say if your goona put aro or rtc i said make it a tad bit more then 300g i say like dimenstions of 108lx36x24 that is 9x3x2 and about 400gallons but a rtc will most likly out grow it eventulay a arow would be good for life.(as far it says under 3feet and most do)it defeinly depends on what you want in it. i would have to the best would have to be as long and wide as possable and 24inches tall. thats my input. you be good 3/8 up too 24in and 1/2 up too 36in tall and any lenght.:)

A larger footprint is better for...say...an RTC. something like a 4'x4'x2' (48"x48"x24").
If your keeping an aro...as has already been suggested...depth is useless and even width isn't as importiant as a lot of people assume. Length however is best. so an 8'x2.5(wide)x2'(deep) is best (96"x30"x24"). If you want to keep discus or a large shoal of fish...then trade width and length for depth.

I just go new tank made be Marineland 85 inches long, 30 inches wide and 22 inches tall,
nice footprint
