Hello guys, sorry to bother you all. I just bought this young arowana about 6 inches. I was told it should be bluebase xback. But couldn't check the certificate number any where online. And I can't see the scales fully crossback from the top, also can't find the blue colour but some kind of purple feeling. So I am a bit confused, could you please help me identifying what type of arowana it is? Many thanks indeed. Also, it refuses to eat any pellets, mealworms, prawns.... only ate few crickets yesterday...quite worry about it....Any suggestions? Please help. Thanks again.

sweet looking aro, how long has he been in his new tank? some fish take some time to fully acclimate before they get a full appetite back, at least in my experience

I agree with BigDaddyMagnum BigDaddyMagnum but will like to add stop feeding the Cricket's until the Arowana starts to eat the other foods you offered it. Tbh don't have any experience with Asian Aro's.
Welcome aboard

Thank you very much BigDaddyMagnum. Just got it early this week. Will wait a bit to see, just feel it looks a bit skinny and worry.

dont worry too much, give it another week, if after 2 weeks still no eating than you start trying different things but he did eat a little bit right? so i wouldnt worry

Will be more patient then:) Many thanks indeed. Do you have any idea of its type?

not too sure honestly, i see the crossback in it but the coloring is off to me which means nothing because i am by no means an arrowana specialist

Looks like asians are more picky eaters than silvers and jardinis. I’m having same issue right now too. Might have to starve him for 1-2 weeks
