Hey everyone, if u remember i got my ray about a month and half ago. Everything to me is going great. Eating and very active everyday. But yesterday i notices to bumbs like right before her tail starts on the top side of her disk. It kind of looks like shes got a butt. Sorry no pic, our digital camera had to be sent of for repair, ill try to take a pic with my phone and see how clear it comes out. O and for those who dont know shes a motoro..

Thanks, Steve

I remember every1 saying she was thin when i first got her, maybe shes finally starting to put weight on.. i dunno please tell me wut u guys think. Heres a decent pic. Only good get her 1 side, she was too fast. And also ive been wondering wut the "cracks" r. If u look closely u can see wut looks like cracks in concrete.

Bump means its getting fed well. The lines or cracks, along with the transparent disc edge and runny spots means your ray is still thin as hell.

hmm? maybe they are still there from the struggle to getting her to eat? im assuming they dont go away right away. Becuz they have been there for awhile. So will they go away after time?

as long she's eating well at the moment, just continue the routine plus with consistent water change. do not introduce anything new at the moment. give her about a month to thicken the disc and also the base of the tail. good luck.

Seen this type of thing many times, the bulge you see is nothing more than a build up of gas in the intestine....are you feeding night crawlers?Usually this bulge will disappear over a day or two once the gas is expelled, usually this swelling when viewed from the front of the ray will appear larger at one side than the other.
Night crawlers for some reason if fed excessively often cause this symptom.
Like the other guys have said the ray needs to put on more weight, active rays need more food.
Regarding the lines and the crazy paving you mention thats the lateral line design of a stingray so to speak, quite normal just more visible in an emaciated translucent ray.
Good luck with it.
