Here&There
I guess I have been going overboard with my feedings lately. I was just trying to get some filter maintenance in before bed and found white fungus when I opened my Fluval404. It isn't rampant, but there were numerous spots of the stuff. I have been trying a dif feeding and WC schedule lately: two a day feedings with 2-3x per week 35-50% water changes. I don't necessarily think it is a bad schedule, but I think I may have to turn off filters from now on or add food more slowly. The filters ate the food before my fish could get to it. My question now is: How do I deal with it? Do I just reduce feedings and keep tank clean otherwise and it will go away? Or do I need to treat with any fungicides? Will adding carbon help at all? I don't use much as of now (almost none). Just clean the filter out the normal, nonbacteria-killing way? Or sterilize the durn thing? Any tips would help.

Clean them off and feed sparingly. Turning off filters during feeding time is fine but the downside is you may forget to turn them on.

I will try to feed slower and/or less, but I run 5 filters on the tank (2 HOBs and 3 Fluval 404s) so I would prefer to not have to turn all off.
